The material used in the socks consists of 70% pure sheep's wool and 30% durable polyamide, which increases the longevity of the socks. The heel and toe area are reinforced for extra durability.
The wool comes from New Zealand and is spun into yarn at Pirtti Kehräämö in Jämsä. Wool socks are dyed in the small family business PMK Värjäämö in Kyrönkoski. Wool socks are made from start to finish at the Helsinki Wool Sock Factory in the Roihupelto industrial area in Helsinki.
